Words From Princess Parents
"It is so important that we teach our girls at a young age that they are valuable and important. The Bible says, 'Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.' That training is exactly what the Princess Empowerment program is assisting parents with.
As black women, it is a priority to instill in our girls that they are beautiful, not only on the outside but the inside as well. Beauty truly comes from within. We have to take on the responsibility of making sure our girls see themselves in total: mind, body and spirit.
It takes a village to raise a child and I am so thankful for Mrs. Oakman and Mrs. Anderson for the difference that they are making in the lives of our children. My daughter often speaks about what she has learned in Princess Empowerment and I couldn't be more proud. Seeing the girls so excited about the extra time they get to spend together while learning attributes that the school system can't teach them is truly inspiring.
It makes you so excited to see what these young ladies are going to grow up and bring to this world of ours. Thank you Mrs. Oakman and may God continue to bless you and everything your heart sets forth to do."

"As a parent, I entrusted one of my greatest blessings to Miss Tracey Oakman in 2011 at her daycare and school, Odessa’s School of Love. I am forever grateful for the loving care and guidance my daughter received. Miss Tracey looked at each child as an individual, with their own strengths and needs. My daughter was blessed with Miss Tracey who understood her challenges and handled her with grace and patience.
I thank God for Odessa’s School of Love and Miss Tracey for noticing my daughter’s speech impediment and suggested a well-known speech pathologist to help her. My husband and I trusted Miss Tracey and knew she had a wealth of experience dealing with children. We sought treatment immediately for Cammy and she became better within a year and clearly speaks all the time. We can never thank Miss Tracey enough for her guidance and support.
We thank Miss Tracey for giving Cammy a baseline for success, a fun and educational place to thrive. Cammy learned so much and did so well from her time with Miss Tracey that she was invited to participate in the ALERT Gifted and Talented program in elementary school and is now in the accelerated program in middle school. She has turned out to be a smart, respectful, and very independent teenager. In fact, Cammy wants to become a teacher when she grows up just like Miss Tracey. And at age 13, she is now assisting Miss Tracey with Princess Empowerment.”
